§ 1.11. Police jurisdiction.

  • The police jurisdiction of the city shall cover all adjoining territory within three (3) miles of its corporate limits. All ordinances of the city for the enforcement of police or sanitary regulations and prescribing fines and penalties for violations thereof shall have force and effect in the corporate limits of the city, in the police jurisdiction thereof, and on any property or rights-of-way belonging to the city; provided, that said police jurisdiction does not embrace territory within the corporate limits of other municipalities.
